"An amazing stay! Would absolutely return. Well designed space. Comfy beds, great seating area. The kitchen is VERY well equipped. Everything from blender, electric kettle, airy fryer, etc Hot tub was a little tricky to get going but once we did it was nice! I brought my pup and they had bowls, a bed and even a blanket for her. Note: they don’t have an ice maker or ice trays so if you’re planning on making drinks, come prepared."

"My daughter and I had a great stay! Feb in Joshua Tree was perfect. Warm sunny days and cool evenings. The heated hot tub was a plus! Only regrets was not asking to heat the pool prior. "We had a wonderful stay! It was exactly what we were looking for--something quiet and fun where we could have a restful, fun weekend. Our kids literally spent hours going back and forth from the hot tub to the plunge pool, we roasted 'smores over the firepit, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The big thing for me is how clean is was. SOOO CLEAN!! Not only that, it's about a 30 minute drive from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, which was breathtaking. Our only complaint was the weather! It was unexpectedly cold, but the fireplace was toasty and cozy. We would definitely visit again!"

The property is cozy, clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with so many amenities. The owners truly thought of everything all sorts of guests can enjoy. My 3- year old daughter loved running around the backyard and was so happy exploring the house. We also loved that we were able to bring our dog. "This place was amazing! We came for a weekend to celebrate my birthday with some friends and it was incredible. The star of the show is the outdoor setup! We wanted to spend the majority of the time outside, and it was absolutely lovely and had so much to do after we came home from the park for the day. We didn’t even have time to use all of the amenities! It was private and peaceful, and we had so much fun. Would 100% return— was a weekend to remember :)"

"What an amazing place. As soon as we arrived we did not want to leave. My kids had a blast in the backyard from the pools to the hot tub and movie night. We had such a great time we are already planning our next trip. Loved the outdoor grill our first night we got to grill and eat outside everything was so peaceful. Check in was super easy we had no issues and pretty close to a market and other stores."

"A true Joshua Tree experience. The park was amazing and entrance decently close by. Really enjoyed the container pool! Was nice to have the hot tub too for the cool desert nights. Hammocks were relaxing for star gazing. Beds were comfy. Went to the local Saloon recommended close by with the secret entrance and once again a funky JT experience we enjoyed."

"My 6-year-old daughter loved this place, saying, "The pictures are nice, but the place is even better. I didn’t think there would be so much to do. I love this place. We should make our home like this!" As for my review, this Airbnb is absolutely stunning and has quickly become one of our favorite summer memories. The backyard layout was well thought out, with an incredible pool, amazing hammocks, and an outside grill with lighting and swings that added a personal resort touch. The dinner table by the kitchenette area, adorned with lights, created a delightful dining experience for the fams and I. The whole setup made us feel like we were in our own little resort. We enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace and stargazing from the bed. Although we didn't get to use the Jacuzzi, and the cowboy pool wasn't working during our stay, these minor issues didn't detract from the overall experience. The house was impeccably clean upon arrival, and the host was super responsive and friendly!"

Retrograde Retreat is a dog friendly desert retreat busting out of the seams with amenities. We get it, you didn’t come to Joshua Tree to stay inside, so come unwind in our resort-style back yard. You’ll never experience another place quite like it.
